What you will learn (terms, tools, techniques):
-Get comfortable with essential aspects of Digital Audio Workstations
-Find your way around the timeline as well as Ableton’s unique Session View
-How to jam and improvise using Loops
-When to use Audio and MIDI for making beats
-Dive into the built-in instruments and flexible Effects Racks
-How to navigate the Browser to search and find sounds, loops, and expansion Packs
-The basics of music production including sound design, synthesizers, samplers, and sequencers
Classes are Tuesdays & Thursdays for four weeks from 6PM-8PM in the Tech25 Warehouse
Class dates: 9/9, 9/11, 9/16, 9/18, 9/23, 9/25, 9/30, 10/2
Eligibility
Ages 18+ encouraged
No prior experience required!
This course lays the foundation for more advanced programs
Students must commit to a total of (at least) 4 hours of class time per week for 4 weeks to earn a Certificate of Attendance.
